Looks to be basically the same as a Gardener carb, but with a built in float.

Gardeners work very well, just go and see some historic racing and see them on Manx’s etc.

However, where rules allow, more modern instruments are normally used.

It’ll be interesting to see how these perform, and what their advantage is over Mikuni and Keihin et al.

Like the Lectron -
Hard to start . . .
I hope not but interestingly Lectron is in its DNA

" Its pedigree comes from the long line of William H. Edmonston American-designed carburetors, including the Lake Injector, Lectron, Pos-a-Fuel, Ei Blue Magnum, and Quicksilver"

I understand that adjustment in Gardner carbs is by turning the metering rod and that they actually work quite well. I've never used them, but I know guy who had them on his TZ350. If you ever want to go insane, try setting two-stroke carburation up from scratch. If you get it the slightest bit wrong, the motor won't even start. With a four-stroke motor, if it is jetted slightly rich, the motor can become sluggish and the owner might not recognise it because they think it is normal.
