Damn....why was I so unlucky as to have not been born one of the oppressed class.
 
During thw American CIvil War, the Confederates opposed the wage slavery in the north. So a bit later Henry Ford paid his workers $5 per day when the going rate was $2 per day. Now the slaves drive cars, and clog-up our roads when they should be working msking them.

In this lmodern world, our achievemwents are only limited by our mindsets. Money-motivated people are insane - nothing succeds as well as a genuine interest in what we do.
Most people who have boring jobs can find a couple of hourse per week in which they can improve their qualifications by attending a class at night school. Doing something simple such as learning to manage a project, or doing a hobby welding course, can be life-changing.

Times change, thinking changes. Some things that were normal became abnormal and later "sins". When slavery was normal, it wasn't just African people enslaved by white people, especially in the US as people would have you believe. There were lots of white and other races enslaved in Africia. I don't remember ever being taught about that but it's easy today to read about slavery as a whole and your eyes will open.

My grandfather was a slave owner in Alabama. I have no idea if he was good or bad to them. I do know what happened when he freed them. They were deeded the land where their houses were and they were deeded part of the farm to do with as they pleased. In return they farmed the rest of the farm. Put another way, they became next door neighbors. It was in the middle of nowhere. By the time I was old enough to understand and remember, those that had been slaves had died but their children and later descendants still lived there and still farmed. I never heard any negativity when I talked to them or my grandmother who still lived there. Put another way, the reparations were paid in their case to those who were wronged, and their descendants had the fruit of the reparations.

No, I wish I did because it's often hard to separate fact from urban legend. There are things in that that I've read before and there are Wikis on things like the barbary slave trade, but Wikis should only ever be used as reference, not fact. Also, notice this at the top of the snopes article:

Here in the USA the idea for reparations is based on the notion that the unpaid labor of slaves lead to the successful financial position of the United States and it would only be fair to pay that money back with interest. Here is the reality, we fought this thing call the Civil War. It saw the deaths of 620,000 productive individuals. It destroyed the south, financially, institutionally and physically. There was nothing left. Richmond, Virginia, Charleston, South Carolina, Atlanta, Georgia, and Columbia, South Carolina were all destroyed. Vicksburg was decimated by a wasting siege. What little industry the south had was gone. The southern plantation system, that in itself was a remnant of the 18th century, was dead. Any money was gone, spent on a failed military campaign. The south only began to recover during the 1940s long after slavery was abolished.

Deffiently👍.. its either Critical Race Theory÷ or Colonization÷

Both subject matter serve one purpose & one purpose only ....DIVISION ..which is part of some schools curriculum these days ...they start em young these days and I ain't talking mathematics...dont fall for it

Yes! If you talk to/watch young people, the don't "see" color/race/creed, they see friends. The only way to not be racist is to stop being racists. It would really help if the media would quit pushing nonsense.

It does amaze me how many swallow this type of propaganda ..its sad really

I assume in most cases, the media. Conflict sells. They want people watching/reading/listening. There are an almost infinite number of possible stories but they choose what they think will sell. In some cases that's pandering to political figures, sometimes for other reasons and usually spoon feeding what they know to keep you engaged.

Example (made up):
Fact: A train on the 200 section of track 69 derailed the last 5 cars today. The sensors report that the train was going 5 mph below the limit at the time of the derailment. The first car to derail has a broken wheel but it has not been determined if it caused the derailment or happened during the derailment. The company has inspectors and officials on the way to the site.

First Report: A massive train derailment happened today on track 69. The train was not doing the speed limit. We'll keep you updated on this terrible event.

Second Report after talking with people sitting at a crossing waiting for the train to pass: Witnesses at the site of today's derailment say that the train was "really moving" when it happened. The company has not responded to our request for info yet. Sources tell us that the train was not speeding but why the multi-car derailment happened is unknown. We'll keep you up-to-date on this terrible event.

Third Report after talking to more "witnesses": Witnesses at the site of the derailment are very concerned about what the train was hauling and upset that the company has not answered any questions. The company has still not responded to us. We found out that the first car that derailed had a broken wheel. We'll keep you updated as we learn more.

You see, no lies, not many actual facts, but keep watching
