signals not working at a stop

Hi, If I'm in first gear and at a stop the turn signals stop working. Neutral, they work, along with once the bike is in motion. What's wrong?

I've had the bike a couple months and am learning as I go. Fixed the carbs (high erratic idle) and fixed a leaky primary so far.

4 months. I'll test it anyhow. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm pretty comfortable with doing basic mechanical stuff, just don't understand the electrics yet, so I thought I would ask before I tried anything.

Yes Ryan spend a few bucks and get a real good battery those symptoms say so.

Are you holding the brake (and lamp) on when it's in gear ? If so then the battery is the most likely problem.

Mine did similar things. Bought a new flasher unit & at first it worked well but began being inconsistant after a few days.
