Side Stand Rubber

My side stand rubber keeps splitting then falls off and sometimes the stand slips under the frame and you have to reach by the hot exhaust to pull it out, maybe the rubber bumpers were old and little brittle. I have all new bushing and bolts. I made a little mod so if it falls off it stop where suppose too, rubber heater hose and two clamps. Im sure this has been done but haven't seen it.

Thanks, that is something I need to do too, the rubber is missing entirely. FWIW the side stand on my bike was retracting too far so I welded a loop to the stop, works well....
