Webby, nice bikes! That triple will be a classic in the future.
Thanks spiermoor :) I certainly won't be selling the Triple, I've owned it for the last 14 years. I've had it longer than any of my girlfriends or houses :D

Well, I had to jump in and post a picture of my Buell. Bought brand new in April of 1999 and still have it, way longer than the 45 plus other bikes I've owned. Don't plan on selling it either. Has a comfy Corbin seat and ventura luggage rack. Super fast and a real torque monster, plus great mileage too !!! Years ago, on 100 miles of I-40 in Oklahoma at 80 plus ... got almost 65 MPG. Rechecked on the trip back, and it was 63 MPG ! For the life of me, I don't know why Harley didn't just stick this motor in a Sportster !?!?!? This Buell is still MUCH faster than Harley's new "equivilent" the XR1200, and the HP and Torque numbers show it. These are really undervalued right now (IMO) ... cheers !

What's the maintanance schedule like on the modern Ducks like this and are they the same as the Sport 1000, Paul Smart Replica etc?? I like these a lot. Saw a few very nice ones on the So Cal Norton owners group ride last week end. The bikes in the Guy Webster and Taggert museums weren't to bad eighther!

Check the valve clearances and timing belt tension every 7500 miles. Replace the belts every 15,000 miles, or 2-3 years, which ever comes first (easy job). The clearances tend not to change much once the parts bed in. The last time none of mine needed to be adjusted!

The GT1000 is a member of the Sport Classic family and is basically the same bike as the other models other than bodywork and the riding position (much more comfortable for us old people). Ducatis have their quirks but they're basically solid bikes and are really fun to ride - just like a Norton! I guess that's why so many forum members here are also Ducati owners.
