And there is a whole class of them in some form of TT racing, at the IoM.
Didn't we see that Nortons had an entry with one of them.

My Harris Ducati TT today after a quick wash and wax, after being down for a spark plug hole thread repair. Back to track ready, but in it's first year of well earned semi-retirement after 30 some years of steady racing by five different racers. I'm guessing it still has, at most, a half dozen original parts that were on it when it left Sports Motorcycles in the earlier '80's. The frame, front sub-frame, both foot control toe pieces, and the rear brake torque rod.

Still looking for something really comfortable for an old guy to ride while I finish my Norton, but without spending a lot of cash.
What you want is a well-cared-for Triumph Legend 900 triple. Fantastic all-around bike, and they can be had reasonably cheap.

I was rearranging bikes in the shop today, and decided to take a group picture of all my current street bikes. These are the ones that are registered and insured, and get ridden more or less regularly. One Norton, 3 MZs, one Kawasaki, and one Yamaha. There will be another Norton in the mix later this year, when I finish work on it. I have the R1 up for sale (cheap at $1850), and when it's gone, I'll sell one of the MZs to get the herd down to a more reasonable size.

Nice lineup!

I miss my CB550...(and my XS650)

Still have my 81 CB750F...

Since I see you have both, gotta ask-

T100 vs the 850 Commando, how do they compare on the road?

Thanks
Glen

Sorry Glen , but having just picked the Norton up last week , I have only ridden it up and down my street a few times, so I won't be able to report till I get some miles on her.
As far as the Triumphs,, I liked my first one so much I bout another, both are 2007's ,, last year for Carbs (I'm old school) and really like them. They are a nice weight (similar to the 850 Commando) nimble, smooth, and just feel well balanced. I did make some suspension changes that greatly improved the ride and handling. New Ikon rear shocks,,, and progressive fork springs and Ricor damper valves up front.

Hope get out on the Norton this weekend , first just going thru some checks its been in storage. so Checking all fluids,, bleeding out the old brake fluid, stuff like that. 99 degrees here yesterday, hope I don't melt the tires,,,, like riding a blow torch.

Wow,,,,, Mark , Incredible.
It's beautiful! Nice work . Mine is nice, but not that nice. As you can see mine lacks the original 4 into 4 exhaust, but does have a very nice 4 into 2 exhaust . Some one is making new 4 into 4's now however after pricing it all out, by time you buy the pipes, brackets, etc, and then ship them, probably $1300-$1400 bucks. That's about 1/3 of what I've got in the bike, so hard to pull the trigger.
Did you replace your exhaust , re-chrome???
Anyway, thanks for sharing the photos,,,,, awesome job.
