I have two Roadster tanks and side covers in black just back from paint and access to a very good hand pin stripe guy.

The first tank will get an OEM pin striping job but the second I can have some tasteful fun with. May I see what you have done with pin striping your Norton, or pics you can share of others?

Not a huge departure from factory Norton, and not a roadster, but i copied the BMW silver smoke paint scheme.

Don't have access to my orginal photos right now so here's some links to them on my Instagram. This bike belongs to our Club's founder, everything done by hand.

Odd that my Andover Norton decal set uses a non-lined light gold Norton for the gas tank but a darker gold with outline for the side cover.

Also note several gas tank decals where the "O" of the "Norton" name has two cuts across the character while others have an intact (whole) "O" instead.

Some painters, mine included, do their own logo's so perhaps some room for variation there.
On my 850 when a hand is run over the tank logo there is no perceptible change in the surface, as opposed to my ES2 which has a transfer which is easily felt.

I don't have a closeup, but you should be able to zoom this on Google Drive image..

"Manx" style pin-striping done by the P.O. I didn't like it at first and had every intention of having it repainted, but it's grown on me.

Cheers,

cliffa.

Does anyone know of a good pinstriper on the USA east coast.? I am in North Carolina and had no luck finding one.
Love looking at all the beautiful motorcycles on this site!
