Nothing of any interest in California.

But seriously, are you really going to see all of California? It's pretty big I hear. Are you really going to visit the whole state? Up in the Bay area is Rabers and Monroe Motors (I think they are still open, and while they don't currently do Nortons last time I was there it was a cool place to step into). You saw the thread I did on the museum at Solvang, right?

I don't know if Fair Spares has a retail showroom.

I wish some Californians would respond with a better list.

leaving here 7 August ariving Sanfrancisco for 4 nights then picking up a rental and going walkabout for 8 days ending in Anaheim for four nights leaving 22 August.

Rabers in San Jose is only about half an hour drive from San Fransisco Airport, great people and a nice shop to visit. tel number 408 998 4495. Call first as they are closed either Monday or Tuesday during the week. Plenty of parking outside the shop. There are quite a few Norton club members in the SF area, hopefully some will answer your post on here before you depart. I myself will be in California in August, staying in the Carmel area. Happy travels

Hi Possm, I am putting together a list of some really great "Norton" related bike shops in Southern California for you. One that you MUST go to is Yoshi's place called the Garage Compony, it is a top noth vintage shop but also a museum open to all, free and he has a big thing for Nortons and races so there are places like little open rooms full of the nicest Nortons you'll ever see. Vintage race and street next to a Vincent or two next to a Laverda etc etc. Glass cases full of hundreds of vintage race carborators, rear sets gas tanks, leathers whatever. It's a mile from Los Angelos international Airport. A must see. 25 mins from Anaheim without traffic. The web site does not do it justice at all and the pictures are from the old smaller shop but go to garagecompony.com I will putt together a list of other places for you, and by the way I live in the city the borders Anaheim & there are a few of us here too. It would be nice to meet if you have time, we could go for a ride too, Iwould love to have you ride my 850 and see what you think. Glenn.

Thanks Glenn and Dave
I will be intouch before i come over.
