Is a MkIII lever shorter than a earlier right hand shift lever?
Im farting about with making up my own rear sets and wish
to use a reverse lever rather than linkage.

Thanks, a half inch won't help much I fear.
Anybody have a suggestion for me and my 'want to
retain the direct shift lever' approach.
Though a shorter shift lever might do the trick.

I found that the standard off the shelf rear set peg position with flipped 750 lever put it within reasonable reach by toe but I didn't like the shift pattern my reflexes had to reverse to and Peel did get over enough to foul toes under to shift up mid flings. I put the over head linkage back but next time out will pivot lever off the cradle and link to the gb knob via custom Al welding.

I have a rather smallish foot, that is too far aft for me.
Perhaps I fab a piece that goes from rear peg hole to after
hole of the triangle that the stock foot rest attaches to Z
plate and then locate a peg somewhere comfortable along
that line.
If the peg flips up, then I can swing the starter lever, perhaps
the T150 one from RGM.
