Is the search function playing up , or is it all suffering from its own success, it doesn't want to search for common words or am I an idiot, probably the latter

It does depend on the word/s used, so very common words such as "brake", "bearing", "wheel" etc. won't work, so try to be more specific.

Apparently primary chain was to common, so wheel bearings , front brake etc will all be to common, how do you be more specific ?, the search function WAS my good friend we spent many hours together

For instance, 'primary chain tension' or 'primary chain adjustment' get results, so try to narrow down the subject matter as much as possible, or, try the 'Google search' option, however, searching 'primary chain using Google search, I got over 1000 results!

Google search "accessnorton primary chain" should get you where you want to be

Make sure the checkmark is in for google search, just above the search box. That always works for me.
VIP members get a few more search functions, but i dont think that is in the list..

OK, so I'm looking to buy a new battery for my Commando and I figured I'd search the forum for threads with the word "battery" in the title block. Nope, can't do that any more. So, search for "battery recommendations" instead. Now you get every thread with "recommendations", but none with "battery".

This is ridiculous. Instead of being able to benefit from past discussions we have to start a new thread.

I find it hard to understand how a search function would be incapable of searching for MATCHING WORDS. Isn't that it's PRIMARY function?

OK all. To clarify. Put check mark in box above search next to "Google Search" and then search. I searched for "Battery Recommendations" and got 59 results.

Please can a non VIP member test this for me. I am an admin and VIP's get that for sure. I cannot remember if I programmed it for NON VIP members to use that function. I thought I made that available to all.

Thanks- Jerry

I just tried a search with google check marked and it worked fine for me. Sorry not a VIP member and will rectify that soon.
