I think the term "hinging" was used in threads a few years back to describe the effect of overly loose iso's. Most noticeable as a feeling of the rear wheel steering the bike.
At the other extreme, iso's too tight, you can expect unusable mirrors, strong annoying vibes through the feet, oil tank and taillight bracket fractures, even frame failures.
