Roadster Tanks

JRC and Wassell may own the press tooling and not allow Emgo to supply anyone else. There was in big investment needed for the first batch and the tooling cost would have been a major part. When I worked in the auto industry the car maker owned the tooling and could have it moved to another maker if needed to,

Possibly, but the story I was told was that the first container load was too much for either of them so they went together on the purchase. I think that's why the EMGO steel Roadster side covers never became available again - I wish I had bought a lot more of them - a container holds a LOT of them even if mixed with other things - shame, they were at least as good as the tanks.

I don't know how many they bought or if they went together on the second batch. For the first batch, they were much less expensive delivered to me from JRC. On the second batch, they were much less expensive delivered to me from Wassell - no idea if that explains anything real.

I am a dealer for Wassel and JRC. Both have plenty in stock right now.

It was strange and we never really knew why, maybe we pushed them into another batch. Shame, as we also offered them to quote to make interstate tanks, but again no interest on their behalf. Watch this space on steel side covers, they are well under way.

I have no idea why, but JRC and Wassell continue to have them. Maybe they have exclusive deals with EMGO? Wassell states: "Available exclusively in Europe through Wassell!"
Greg,

I get it, and it is something we see often, but in reality it is only exclusive is still supplied and available. If there is no desire or a financial constraint suggesting they are not getting anymore made then it is no longer 'available exclusively' sadly we see this and come against it often no one can afford to make the item but the tooling is blocked from use and thus no parts for owners.
