Ever ride into a hard rain storm on a hot Commando? I sure have or splashed across deep water crossings, Wes and me do. So a few days ago with Texas trip plus a week more of grime i rode to work on a Saturday and wanted to display a clean machine to the crowds of cyclers and sport cars that gather in our wide spot in drivers paradise. Let her idle as I washed for sizzling and steam effects but she tickled over fine w/o delay of wire drying or boot and rubber water lubed right off the kicker.

In Penny Lane there is a fireman with an hourglass
And in his pocket is a portrait of the Queen.
He likes to keep his fire engine clean
It's a clean machine

Yes the road is hard. The only ones that are soft when they are wet are dirt roads.

I ride, he rode, You have ridden.

There is your English lesson for the day. :D

Rain stings hard yet snow and mud soften the drops - though real trick is to miss. Toss a glass of water on your running engine for special effects some time. i'm just relieved that I can spray water on fins and not have it crack like glass or twist up like foil. Next Peel will have over 3/4 million BTU's to dump some how besides tire melt.

Owie marble size hail, oh yeah that counts - 2-3 times or more! I've hit smaller but had a big wind screen on so hardly felt a thing but neck strain to stay low and see out.

Oh thing might bother showering a running C'do, the soap selection leaves a film to wipe off chromed items. Don't aim into wheel bearings or blast off terminals.

Steam and sizzle, steam and sizzle
