Scheisse ,sad news. What happened ?

From the police report it looks like a car in front of him stopped and for whatever reason he overbraked the front wheel and subsequently fell, skid into oncoming traffic and was hit by a car. The police supposes he realised to late that the car in front of him stopped. It looks like one of those million moments of inattention which was brutally punished in this case. I had the same sitution with the Harley yesterday but just managed to avoid the car in front of me without overbraking. Makes me think a lot to be honest.

Here is the police report in German.

Very, very sad news.

RIP Volker Sachse

Mr Patzer senior is a racer and Mr Patzer junior is an electronics engineer I believe so as far as future Sachse ignitions it should be good.
I too have used Volkers products and they are good and he was a gentleman.

I have one on my twin plug 90/6, very nicely made and a wide choice of ignition curves
