RH 4 dont panic Apparently

I had them installed in an Enfield 700 head years ago. They seemed to be OK for the few years I had the bike after that. Relatively inexpensive too compared to replacing the guides as I recall.

In theory, the liners have the drawback of adding another interface that degrades total heat transfer from the valve stem to the head, but in practice they seem to work just fine.

they seem ok in an 850 with the larger guides but not in the smaller diameter 750 guides.

My 850 RH4 head got new guides (Bush machining) here in Toronto and all was good as expected , here in Toronto. A while back yet the shop is familiar with British . I wanted the smaller ports after a bit and so fitted the RH 10 head. All good. This laser welding sounds interesting.

As Kwai Chang Caine once intoned, "If I worry about the future, will it change it?".
My RH4 has well over 23,000+ miles on it, so I guess I'm beyond whistling past the graveyard.

Even with the guides replaced (properly, by Phil Radford) my RH4 is still doing it's job after more than 39K miles.
