RGM con rod

Hi Throber,

I've no experience with RGM conrods, but some with other parts they make or sell such like 2 in 1 carb manifolds or belt primary drive.

The carb manifold I got from them for instance is not very well casted and poorly machined. So I would be very cautious re: the use of such vital parts as conrods.

Apart from that warning, they are nice and honest people.

Hope it helps!

Has anyone used RGM con rods in their 850 Commando ?
Any bad stories about them ?

The only conrod I can find listed appears to be the standard 064896 Andover Norton item.

RGM can be a bit of a mixed bag and a puzzle. Sometimes you get an AN part sometimes not. Sometimes
what you get isnt quite what you expected. For instance I ordered base nuts and they came SS, wanted
steel. Got a front guard brace, wanted stock painted steel, got polished SS. Ordered some bushes and they looked more like
brass than bronze.
They do offer online ordering and they ship quickly. They answer you emails. But as with all UK stuff
if there needs to be a return, you pay heavily.

Simple - email them and ask the question!

I'm pretty confident they'll be A-N, but you just need to ask ;)

If they say 'genuine British Made', well...

I looked on their site and saw a billet CNC con rod under the parts - bottom end list.
I find their web site a bit un-organised.
Their stuff looks nice enough and BSA owners seem happy with them.
Thanks for the help so far.

I think RGM site is mildly a bother as the search by Pt # is off.

Apologies to all. My mistake re con-rods from RGM.
Should have been SRM con-rods.
Acid flash back or something.
