After searching through the archives (and the net) still don't have any good info on an equivalent (or approximate) match for the Canary Yellow.
There does not seem to be a match for this in the European RAL system, with 1016 /Sulfur Yellow and 1018 / Zinc Yellow being the most common suggestions. I've tried 1018 and I do not like it, it seems too light and greenish.

If I use 2K colour in a spraycan (no facilities for a spraygun I'm afraid) t hen I'm restricted to the RAL Classic colours. If I go for 1K and then 2K clear, I can get most car colours done, but that's an extra step.

Before I cast myself out on the market, does anybody have any further suggestions? What about 1003 /Signal Yellow, or 1023 Traffic Yellow?

You could try RS
They have canary

I needed to match paint on an old car. I took a panel to an independent paint specialist, who mixed me up some paint to match and it was perfect. He used an electronic tool. Beyond me, but it seems, if you have a sample you want matched, it can be done, as a one-off. Wasn't expensive. It was in 2-pack though.

Ok, thanks for the suggestions. RS would be good except that trying to send cans of paint from the little offshore island to the mainland  was difficult and expensive before Brixit, I don't dare think what it involves now.

I'll go for the 1003 Signal Yellow then. Be a bit of time before I get around to that though, I'm trying to get everything ready for Spa at the end of this month, and I noticed a rattle coming from behind the primary chaincase last night, so need to strip that off to see what's up (or off, or loose!).

A sample of touch up should be easier and makes sure the photo effect is eliminated, mine was taken in the dark with flash, its lighter in sunlight.

But RAL colours should be easy to find locally even from a printer.

i used AR127 Giallo Pozzuoli and i am quiet pleased. AR is ashortcut for alpha romeo. A good paint shop can mix the colour for you.

Mine was yellow early on , never satisfied with the shade so went with the traditional roadster black and gold , couldn’t be more pleased ….
