Repop Speedo Drives?

One of our fellow Nortoneers who can not currently post pictures to this forum has asked me to post this picture to see if anyone knows anything about them. The are supposed to be steel rather than pot metal and he is curious if they might last longer than the pot metal jobs. I do not know the source or have a link.

From India, don't have any experience of them but they seem very cheap, price wise that is.

But do they also sell a 1.25:1 ratio drive unit, as 2:1 ratio isn't normally suitable for the majority of 1970-on British bike speedos?

Good question. I was just interested in the suposedly steel case because Iv'e had trouble with the stock pot metal ones deflecting and rubbing on my hub.

Funny! I just bought one from Rabers this morning! Weird...
Mine was busted and I just cruised with it. Ate up the cover, but it wasn't exactly pristine to begin with.
Anywho, it seems to work fine. Needle is a bit jumpy, but that could be the guage. Hasn't had a working speedo for about ten months, so I probably should lube things a bit. I'll let you know how it turns out.
