Hello,

Installing a new harness on an MKIII with electronic ignition and a podtronics rec/reg wired directly to the stator. Of course I'm removing both zeners and the rectifier but I'm also doing away with the capacitor, power socket, ballast resistor and the WLA. I'm good with connecting (or re-purposing) all the unused hots and grounds so the electrons can follow their respective paths without interruption, but I am unsure what to do with all the WLA wires and if any of them need to be connected elsewhere? It's an early MKIII with the 3 wire silver can WLA, but the new harness has 6 wires that are suppose to be connected to the WLA they are the red (ground) , NG, WN, WG, GY, a double white, and a solid blue.

I expect the double white will be hot when the ignition is turned on, but any diagram I have seen shows the solid blue connected between both handlebar switches so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
RW

No you should be able to just remove it. Blue to the WLA is for Canadian models with lights on with ignition. This only applies to the later five wire WLA with a special lights on unit for Canada.
Wires for the standard model are GY, WG, R, W, and WN. Blue (U) and NG are not used see note 1. Blue is still used in the switchgear wiring.
