What do I need to do with the brown/blue wires? connect them? and can the ground just be sealed off? Thanks in advance?

YES, connect the brown/blue wires together. Isolate the red ground.
 
Thanks guys, this will get me even closer to being ready for Buffalo, Wyoming. Bike almost done.
