I finally managed to get my gearbox back together this w/e, only trouble is, it's pretty tight when selecting the gears. Is that pretty normal? I should add that it's got all new internals apart from the camplate and quadrant. I can put a spanner on the camplate nut and with a fair bit of wiggling get up and down through the gears. The camplate isn't worn + the timing is correct, so I can only guess it all needs to bed in?
As a comparison I loaded all the worn out shaft/gears into the other shell, it's smooth as snake sh*t by comparison.
