So I've taken up all the cable slack to the rear brake drum and with the spring locked up tight theres nothing left to adjust. At the drum the lever points almost vertically downward (as opposed to back about 5pm) and in use I'll be pushing the brake foot lever down about 8 oclock with the toes before the brake bites. Pads are fresh, like new really, and in use i can easily lock the wheel. Consulting the manual and looking at the geometry, sounds like it wouldn't be a stretched brake cable - any ideas out there ?
