Random thoughts while waiting for a breakdown tow

Lost the drive chain.
But, have you ever noticed how the lettering on some side covers are pointed up? To correct mine, I added a couple of washers to the rear bolt, on the underside of the cover. Then an extra rubber washer to raise the front of the gas tank. Leveled everything out and the modification is invisible.

What is it about flanged rims that seem to really improve the looks of Commando's? (and many other bikes)

When a conrod let go in Mitzi on the M1 and during the three hour wait for the recovery lorry to arrive i spent a couple of hours watching the bumble bees nest just the other side of the armco barrier. Absolutely fascinating watching them coming into land, they slowly hover down between the grass stems and when a couple of inches or so from the ground they just stop and fall onto the ground, scuttle off into their burrow, Emerge a few minutes later, climb up the nearest grass stem and then its chocks away.

Flanged rims make them run better but I am biased!

Breakdown tow ... E.I wires separating at pickup transistor plate from vibrations .
Also tow with early boyer black box failure .

Many thoughts went through my mind the last time I've pushed the old motorcycle on the side of the road.

The only thoughts I would have is why the fu ck my bike has stopped running be the only thing going on in my head.
