Raining in Pennsylvania so I thought I'd change fork seal in my rat bike 65 Atlas. Last time II rode it , it was leaking pretty bad. Now have the kit in hand. Half a day job no problem. Then the grimlins came out see pics. Front wheel bearing is shot. I planned on changing front tire any way. Drain screws boggered so I'll just take the bottom bolt out and let it run out there. The left lower leg's bolt is snapped off! WTF Lefthand drill bit got it out easily, lucky! Now to get the tubes out of the tree. With all the rust between this might take a while. Hope it rains a couple days! LOL Pics coming later

If it were easy, everyone would do it. 🏁😎🍻

Early "Floating Roadholder" design?

Here is a stroke of luck and an argument for NOT throwing things away! A few years back I built a 750 street tracker and shortened the fork tubes. I didn't like the way it handled so I put regular length back in. The Atlas tubes @ AN are to be 21 7/8 long. The tubes that I cut off measure 22. Close enought for me! Might get it together today after all!
