New 1965 Norton Atlas Project

New question. How the heck do you install the motor on a Slimline? I’ve been trying for an hour. The front engine mounts and the transmission mount together are so difficult. I can’t get the front motor mounts to fit? I know the lower mount goes inside and the upper mount goes on the inside. But I can’t get it to fit. Whet’s the trick?

I agree that replacement is the way to go. I’ll need a press to remove and replace. It’s on my long list of items that need to be replaced. I’m getting there.
 
Richard, I think I’ve watched much of that series. A little slow, but very informative. I finally got all of the mounting bolts in place but I realized that I missed the bottom thinner stud on the mount. I’m going to pull it all apart to paint the frame. I’m just fitting things now.
