I have the Sparx switches and so far no problems. They came on the bike when I bought it, so I haven't looked at the wiring inside.
 
Bought a Sparx R/H switch for my Mk3 - the hole pattern didn't line up. I was able to transplant the starter button into my existing switch and got out of trouble that way.
