Does anyone know whose starter relay/solenoid that the Alton kit uses?
I'm hoping it's an off the shelf part.
While I am saving my pennies for the starter once Matt at CNW handles them, I am woking on the supporting electrical system.
I am making a custom battery hold down for a couple of Shorai LF14's in parallel that I want to incorporate the mounting for the relay instead of using the bracket that Alton supplys for the relay for a cleaner install.
Idealy I'd like to have the relay/solenoid in hand to get either get measurents from or to actually have it all mounted up ready to go when the E-start kit arrives.

Thanks

I'm curious as to why you want to use 2 x lfx14 in parallel. I use one lfx18 and it works fine. Charging could be difficult with two in parallel if you use the Shorai charger as it plugs into the battery and charges each cell individually. You'd have to disconnect your pair of batteries to charge.

Can't see the make of the solenoid but I have a picture I can post later. I used the Supplied bracket but bolted to the floor of the battery compartment.

Here's the picture. I told a lie: i didn't use the Alton bracket at all, I made up another one to suit.

Thanks for the pic. I have many other pics, but they won't give me what I need in order to make the bracket.

Kinda need a tech drawing, critical dimensions or the part itself to make the bracket.

I'm using the parallel batteries for a few reasons. I already had one and the cost of doing it this way was appealing. I have some space restraints I have to work withing in order to not have to totaly reconfigure and rebuild the battery box area as I have it set up (I have a fuse panel and a Podtronic V.R.) in the space) and Old Britts is using the pair as one of their offerings for their starter kit and they kind of recomend the setup on their website.
Charging from the alternator should not be an issue (the Alton has enough zoztz) and If I use the Shorai charger with the batteries strapped, both will get charged. If I need to rebalance the individual cells then removing the strapping is what it takes then so be it, it will be when the bike is idle for the off season anyway and the batteries will be taken out of the bike during storage.
