What quantity of oil I should credit note by draining away the crankcases ?

There after 150 miles I found 0.15 gallons (0.55liter)

It seems to me that it is a lot, does the (recent) pump do well its work?

For me, it depends on how long it sits. If it sits for a month or more, it all goes to the crankcase. 3 quarts or so. I only drain the crankcase if it wet sumps too much.
Your mileage may vary.

Yes, 1/2 qt. is what I've gotten out of my (recently run) engine for the last 15 oil changes

If you examine the oil scavenge gallery leading from the sump plug to the oil pump scavenge port (large sump plug type, visible with the timing cover removed,) you will see the oil level must rise approx. 3/4 inch from the plug to the pump.

As gear rotor pumps do not create much, if any, negative suction pressure, it means the oil level in the sump will rise that 3/4 inch before the pump floods and begins to return oil to the tank. This 3/4 inch will account for the 1/5 L or so of oil that is found in the sump after engine shut down.

Slick

I recently drained my 1970 fastback tank after running it until hot. a further 150cc drained out of the crankcase. 2 days later another 100cc drained out. I did take the precaution of priming the cylinder head before starting again. What returned to the tank after initial restart was pretty black so If that concerned you, I suppose you could momentarily leave the oil filter off to flush out what is left in the scavenge side. Messy though.
