QUALITY MOTORCYCLE PAINTING AT REASONABLE PRICES

Brent recently painted the tank, side panels, front fender and seat of my Norton 850 Mk 3. He did a phenomenal job, he offered me up pin stripe designs, sent photos of progress, finished, packed and shipped quickly. Overall did a fantastic job at s very reasonable price. I my post for pictures.

I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend his work.

I can't say enough good things.
(Sadly can't seem to post pictures, see my previous post.

I just got my 1975 Roadster tank and side covers back from Brent.... Beautiful!!!! Candy apple red with silver pin stripes!
Step by step communication, Photos, attention to detail, fast turn around,. In short, everything you could possibly want
from an enthusiast and painter. His passion is evident in his work. Thank you Brent!

That green Honda a couple posts up turned out so nice that I asked Brent to paint a Matchless tank for me.

This is a 1962 Matchless G12CS that was originally equipped with a chrome and red tank. When I received it, the chrome had been heavily sanded :x and poorly painted beet red. Thankfully the tank was straight and dent free so I had it re-plated and sent to Brent for paint.

The final result is striking, thanks Brent!

The is the second job that I've had Brent paint. The first was an Interstate tank in Black/gold and here's my same Norton (seven years later) back in Roadster trim (with an OEM steel tank) in Fireflake Blue. It must be seen in person to appreciate the shimmer and slight teal color. A perfect match to my fiberglass side colors that had original gel coat.

Just received my MK III Tank and covers from Brent , to say the least they're beautiful (Gold / Black) . Brent kept me up to date on the process in a timely professional manor and answered any questions I had. I would recommend him in a heartbeat .

I recently received my G15 CS fuel tank and side covers/toolbox from Brent. I sent them to him with a few dents in the tank and an improperly fitting toolbox cover and a request for candy apple red paint to match the original color.
What I received was nothing short of flawless. Brent was able to pull dents from the fuel tank and get the toolbox and side cover to fit properly.
The candy apple red he chose was a very close match to the original.
He communicates extremely well and is determined to get the job done perfectly the first time. I can't think of anything Brent could have done better.

Thank you Brent,
Ed Cain/APRRSV

Brent just finished 3 tanks and 3 sets of side covers for my brother-in-law and myself. One set for my 71 Norton and the other two for 73 Norton's. Bret started out with 3 new tanks and 3 sets of original side covers (metal and fiber-glass). Brent did an excellent job on all the parts. The tanks looked outstanding....flawless! Two of the three tanks were done in black and gold with pin-striping. The same on 2 sets of side convers (black and gold). The tank and covers for my 71 were done in 3 colors: black, red and gold (of course I had to be different), again same design on my covers. Brent and I had several calls about my design and he understood what I was looking for. Brent as many have said sent pictures throughout the entire process. Very impressive to take time and do this (much appreciated Brent). Pictures like this will look good in an album to show all the work done. I sent Brent my original fiberglass side covers that needed repaired. Brent was able to do the repair, additional polishing on the mounting bracket and re-riveted things back together. The day my parts arrived I could not wait to open them up! I had my parts shipped to work and for the rest of the afternoon my office was visited by many people.... One very important note here: I was interested on how the packaging would be with such delicate parts, I assure all of you things were packaged very well and no need to worry. One of my last messages from Brent was that "I hope I meet your expectations". I am a very particular person and I must say "YES Brent" you met my expectations and then some!! Brent is the real deal and I hope to do more work with him soon. Great work at a Great Price!!

I just received my second paint job from Brent. As expected, it was flawless. He does a very good job matching the candy apple red for G15's. He also does great dent repair at extremely reasonable prices.
Thank you Brent!

I just got my tank back from Brent for the second time... It is an Aluminium Manx style tank. I had Brent paint it Black and Gold a few years ago, and it was absolutely amazing!
Then a few weeks ago, the Norton fell over (I was leaning over it and it fell away from me). It landed with the tank hitting the footrest of my Harley and putting a dent in the top/side of the tank... Bummer!
So I sent it off to Brent and he has fixed it perfectly. There is no evidence of the dent and the paintwork looks flawless. He is a true artist and I love his work............. Marvellous!

I just received my newly painted Commando tank and side covers from Brent. He did an excellent job. Brent kept me informed with pictures as the work progressed. I highly recommend Brent.

An added plus was he installed the gas cap, one false move and it’s “Crying Time Again”

Great job Brent

If you are a little ocd about your Norton, this is the guy for you. Brent has painted 2 tanks for me and they are as close to flawless as you can get.
Better than original in all respects. Before I bought my last one I called Brent to make sure he was still in business.

I would not have bought the tank if I couldn't have Brent paint it. If you are meticulous and want it done right, this is your man!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well here's a couple thousand. The beautiful candy red Brent sprayed on my '67 P11. Needless to say, I'm a happy camper!

These arrived today from Brent at Vintage Vendor. Beautiful job carefully shipped. So far they haven't left the dinner table. Perfect.

Like so many on this forum, I am here to sing the praises of Brent Budgor at Vintage Vendor.

I was well into the second year of a full restoration of my 1975 Norton 850 Commando MKIII when I decided the original tank wasn’t going to make the grade due to rust and sediment. I decided to purchase a new EMGO tank from Matt Rambow at CNW and see if I could get it painted by his painter. Due to the significant backlog with CNW’s paint guy I had to look for another high caliber painter to do a show quality paint on paint scheme.

I began searching the Access Norton™ forums and kept seeing Brent’s Vintage Vendor mentioned along with glowing reports on his attention to detail, paint options and his great communication. After a few email exchanges with Brent to discuss options and pricing, I had my selection and was convinced that Brent was they guy I wanted to do the work.

I carefully packaged up my tins and shipped them off to his place in Burlington, Vermont and received his confirmation of their safe delivery. Brent sent an email confirming the classic black and gold color scheme, refencing examples on his website. I responded affirmatively and soon thereafter received an email with a projected start and completion date. Three days after the start date, I received and email from Brent along with pictures of the: paint stripping process, metal correction, skim coat, primer, 1st color, stencil masking, 2ndcolor, stencil removal and clear coat. The pictures looked amazing. Satisfied that the work was done to my satisfaction, Brent directed me to make payment through PayPal and after the finished tins had hardened he would secure a separate shipping quote. A week later I received an email inquiring on the value I wanted to insure the shipment? Subsequently, Brent sent a shipping quote and I made payment again by PayPal. Brent carefully packed up my finished tins, box in box with packing chips on the perimeter. The shipment arrived in three days via UPS ground in perfect condition.

I was like a little kid on Christmas morning opening the package. Wow!!! The color depth of the black and crisp contrast of the gold set this off beautifully. I couldn’t have been happier with Brent’s craftsmanship, attention to detail and communication.

Brent, thanks for sharing your passion with all of us in the Norton community. - Jeff Detweiler”

If this is good to go I will post on Access Norton.

Thanks,

Jeff

First, second and third time's a charm! Yes, this is my third paint job by The Vintage Vendor and it turned out just as beautifully as the others. Brent painted my steel Interstate tank while perfectly matching the original gelcoat-fiberglass Interstate Blue side covers. The silver painted 'Norton' and 750 pinstripe are a warm silver. This is surely a keeper! Many thanks to Brent.

Brent finished my paint about two months ago. I have been waiting to post photos that do the job justice, I think maybe I have gotten close... Just kidding, photos don't cut it. If you want friendly, prompt service with excellent communication and quality results, have Brent paint your tank!

If I had asked for black and I got purple, I would not be upset. Thanks Brent, cant wait to show off your work.

Looks great! These "flake" colors are crazy to paint, but I enjoy the process very much. But they are equally tricky to photograph accurately, looking different at almost every angle. Enjoy!

This is my most recent addition to my Norton fleet and the second that Brent painted in the last two years. I have tried to get a picture that does justice to the sparkle of the metalflake in the sunshine, but not much luck so far. The color is pretty much spot on the '69 red and the flake is very even and close to what I remember as original. The other job Brent did for me is the P11 in my avatar and also posted in this thread. It's great to have someone to trust to get it right. Thanks, Brent!

She's a beauty Ron, love those pipes too. The flake colors are difficult to photograph. The difference between how it looks indoors and outdoors is often astounding as the sun affects the flake different than indoor lighting. They are tricky to spray as they require several steps to achieve, but always fun and satisfying to do. Many happy miles to you!
