what are push notifications that AN forums want me to allow ?

I rejected them but assumed they would be like notifications from other sites, these would pop up in your browser telling you someone had liked your post as an example even if the site is not an open page. I reject them all, some sites just bombard you with them, not that Access Norton would.

All these do on this site is send me a note into my phone's messaging system letting me know when someone replies to something I've posted.
Saves having to go into forum and hit refresh to see any alerts to my posts.

It's about, the notification of every new post or like anyone quoted your post, replied to your post. You'll receive all these and relevant updates in the notifications.
