in 2009, triumph (somewhat similar engine) transitioned to fuel injection from carbs. is such a thing possible with '70's vintage nortons?
probably not practical from a performance aspect or financially but i was just wondering.
hey, i'm too old (66) to worry about looking stupid (been doing that for years).
thx

This is a pet project of mine also from a performance point of view tieing into the engine mamnagement system with electronic ignition and fuel injection great idea . As to costs fairly resonable I feel if your handy on a mill and switched on electricaly .You could mount the two or one injector inside the original amals maybe any way mahine up a intake maifold install the opropiate sensors , throttle poisioner on the air throttle sesor on the exhaust and go .Going to do it one of these days . Great idea . Norton Dave .

i like to keep vintage stuff semi original, but thats just me. That being said, if someone managed to pull it off, AND make it look like original carbs with the injectors and sensors stuffed inside them that would be amazingly cool!

thats how the bonnevilles are now, fuel injection hidden in fake carbs. fuel injection hidden in empty amals? yes please.

You'll still need all the sensors and wiring. It'll be hard to hide that. But I'd probably do it if it were better and reliable and only a couple hundred.

Yes, but how could you sleep at night knowing that your original looking bike was just a bastard in disguise? :P
