does anyone know of a usa source for triplex primary chain master links ? i've found them in the netherlands, uk, au and china but none here ? thanks

I always thought they were riveted... at any rate, I don't think I would run a primary with a masterlink.

yeah the stock chains are rivited but there's nothing wrong with running master links on chains. most rear chains on motorcycles and many motorcycle and automotive cam chains use masterlinks. besides it's going on a hybrid project that only puts out about 30hp.

Only 30 HP? Heck, that won't make much of a hole in your cases if it lets loose....

Having said which, I do run a master clip on my drive chain....5 or 6K, no issues so far, although the silicone on the clip came off today while waxing the chain. I'll clean and resilicone before spring...lotta time.

Got one, it came in a box of bits that I bought at a swap meet. Absoloutly no markings and I have no idea its origin and I've never actually used it because it's a bit of a rusty mess.

In hindsight, my post adds nothing...but I'm bored so I'll post it anyway.
