Ive read through what I can find on the forum about
converting drum rears to disk. Im not disagreeing
that money and time could be better spent on
other stuff, but....seems to me that the weight
is way too much and the cush is a hollow joke.
Or rather not hollow enough.
RAD has some cush hubs that appeal, has anybody
actually applied one, along with a disk brake setup
to a pre-MkIII?
Second choice, the T160 hub, brake stuff and
Maney's cush conversion. The cush, to me,seems
that it would be not very cushy and short lived.
But there is, in my mind, some attraction to
keep it all brit and sort of 70's too.
Please, chime in!

I did a full stock part conversion on my 73 850. It worked well. I didn't have a drum setup to start with anyway, so instead of finding the drum stuff it was just as easy to find the disk parts. the setup worked well for me. I have some of it left for sale if anyone is interested. I'm using a custom hub and gsxr rear brake now.

I went with the full MK3 setup. I have switched over to a harley hub and gsxr brake setup currently. I have been selling off my mk3 parts. I have the rear sprocket with axle and spacers, rotor, caliper, caliper bracket and special bolts left. The swingarm and rear hub are gone.

You could also check out Fleabay for a used KTM 640 rear cush-hub. Looks identical as far as the cushion parts are concerned. Gave my 640 a serious beating whenever I rode it and the cush-hub did it's job well. I'd measure the width of the hub and carrier to see if it could fit in the swing arm first as I remember it being pretty wide.
