Power Commander V installed

This is normal practice not to charge you until they have product in hand and send it out.

Cool - I love these guys! I bought a whole set of crash protectors from R & G for my Speed Triple - good quality stuff. Now I am excited about what they offer for Norton.

Finally got the power commander v installed

WOW, What a difference, totally different bike to ride .

Great at low rpm around town slow speeds.

Great at high rpm on open roads.

Not looking for amazing HP just a nice stable running engine .

Looking forward to getting out and riding the Norton now :)

Hi Paul, do you have a manufacture name and/or part number for the air filter you used in your mod!

Bill

just fitted up a PC to a 2016 961CR & come up with an easy solution.
countersunk the front right corner air box bolt hole & installed a countersunk M6 bolt.
this allowed the module to sit flush on the bracket with the velcro strips.
swapped the PC TPS plug with the 961 TPS plug using all 3 wires.
dyno & tuned today & made it smooth & ride able bike.....
Hi hywayman,
When you swapped the three wires were they colour for colour or how did you determine which went with wwhich?

g'day Bill, i've written down the following:
black/white -> orange/white
grey -> blue
green -> brown
i don't have the bike here to check but is coming back to fix the balance gear spring next week if you need further info
regards

Just got this back from Dynojet uk

Hi Stephen,

Thank you for your e-mail.

Unfortunately will will not be making a Power Commander for the 961. We
have found too many inconsistencies from bike to bike to make production
of a Power Commander viable.

Hi Stephen,
I have used the PC II on my 1999 VFR800 and can not say enough good stuff about the unit. So I would like to use the PC on the troubled 961. I contacted Dynojet UK to see if I could get any info I could use, this is the response I received and it was from Vicky.

"We did not use a 12-009 unit, I am not sure that the development you are referring to was carried out at Dynojet UK."

I do not know if this is the same Vicky, but if they did not use the 12-009 unit why are we all considering this unit and where is the shop that did use the 12-009 unit!

Best Regards
Bill

Hi I am in South Australia and am looking to do same to my 961. Who made the air intake as I would love to do that to mine with the Power Commander, I am just fed up with the erratic running. Cheers Tony (atmain)

Tony
I made the air intake out some alloy tread plate.
I was told the standard air filter does supply enough air anyways .
Get hold of a local power commander supplier and they can fit unit and tune a specific map for your bike.
If they need some info get them to contact Steve and powerhouse nerang

Cheers
