Hey All,

I'm a newbie here. Just purchased & tore down my '73 850.

I am looking for someone in the north east who knows the bikes & does a good job with powder & paint. Anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah I've read that article a few times, thats precisely why I want someone who knows what they're doing.

The blank off kit is not expensive & definitely worth it. I just want a reputable, and reasonable, person to do the powder & paint. I can certainly do the blanking.

The guy that did my powder coat did not want me putting the nuts/bolts/washers on after he blasted it clean. The grease from the new items will bleed in the heat and ruin the powder coat. My guy had all sizes of plastic circles that we put on to blank off spots. He let me and the painter do it. Much, much easier than the nuts/bolts/washers.

I live in Philadelphia and used a guy in Hatboro Pennsylvania - Bonehead Performance. They will powdercoat anything but they do a ton of work on bikes for custom builders and the Harley dealers. Their prices are fair and they do really nice work. Google Bonehead Performance and if you call ask for Charlie.

Whoever you use, make sure you are exacting as to how you want the parts masked and plugged.
