I visited 3 powder coaters in Manasses today. I took all the parts and a bunch of pictures of the parts that need masking per Old Britts site. Of course they all said they could do it, but I was not impressed with their casual look at the masking process. Prices were from $400 to $625. At this point if I am going to have to grind off p/c with a dremel, I would go for the $400, at least he suggested not to do the oil tank.

Does anyone know of someone with Norton frame experience in the NOVA/DC area that I can trust to do a good job? Anything from Charlottsville, VA to Winchester, Morgantown, WV to Baltimore I would be able to deal with.

Come on down to Raleigh and see Tom at Carolina Custom Powder Coating - give him a call first if you would like http://carolinacustompowder.com

I can promise you that you will be glad you made the trip. In addition he just finished up my front and rear iso's and my OIL TANK (externally) with no issues at all. I just brought along my own washers and a copy of the old britts powder coat procedure printed out. He typically bakes everything prior to coating to ensure proper adhesion. He also did did my frame and everything else that I wanted powdered. The results are excellent, and he is very experienced and reasonably priced. I saved some $ by prepping all of my parts (sand blasting) before I dropped them off, you may want to do the same if possible.

I'll give him a call, Raleigh would be an overnighter for me.
