Last time I bought a bike, I took herself out to dinner at a restaurant we had not visited before. I told her whilst eating, and she was not impressed....
No great scene, but Ive never visited the place again!

I did, I knew my wife when we were kids, her dad was my dads best friend so knew her from the age of 9 but didn't go out with her till I was 30, she knew my bikes were my life and when I asked her to marry me I told her the bikes are number one and I still like my freedom to do with my bikes, mates and traveling away at short notice with mates or on my own, in 2013 and in 2016 I brought 2 new Triumph Thruxtons without tell her, she found out both times when she drove me to the dealers to pick them up on the day, she had no say at all, but she looks after me and when I do go away she only says to me "don't drink too much and don't ride the bike when I do drink", she puts up with a lot from me but I also look after her.
She is the oldest of 9 and her dad blamed everything on her when growing up, he was a bit of a arse hole to her and too this day I still have no respect for him and 4 of her sisters can be bitches to her only her second oldest sister is any good and knows what she been through growing up.
But my wife and myself stay right out of her family conflicts and have done so for the 33years we been together.
We aren't perfect but we have a good understanding of each other and she understands and knows when I need to get away, we both need our own time and space, works great for both of us, none of my married mates has the freedom I have always had.
So Concours its not a joke but for real with me, but then she puts up a lot from me and same with me to her, but I did put a roof over her head and have always looked after her and she is always proud in what I do for her and around the house.
But I need to get away soon with the mates, that's if they are allowed.
