Guys thankyou for the orders but at this time of the year, in fact most
times, customs at your end can be slow not to mention snail like.

With more enquiries maybe a few of you in each country or club could
get together and order as a 20kg box with several chains in goes quite
cheaply via courier which is better than our postal systems, ask Keri.

Once again thanks for the growing support.

Andy

Just ordered some stuff from Australia. Left on 11th and arrived yesterday. Customs???????????

Andy, the additional post is not a problem for the one or two things. Also I am acustomed to some customs delay. I eagerly await the Alton Starter motor chain :)

Being an old senile git I sent your chain to another guy in USA but when it
lands at his he has your address and will forward it.

If it does not happen within a week I will ship another.

Might be luck of the draw, I sent a camshaft Australia Post to Kelford Cams in Christchurch and it was at the door in around 5 days over a weekend, Fedex will get a package UK to AU as quick as four days.
I have a package that was sent Royal Mail economy and it is at day 55+ and counting, it must be on a Donkey somewhere in Asia by now unless it is coming by rowboat.

I got a chain via NorComCycles.

That would be me! Have not seen either package as yet and today is a mail holiday here.
Jeff - I will forward yours and let you know when it show up.

I send parts all over the world, Australia is one of the fastest deliveries, usually in less the 10 days, it takes that long to get something to Canada, talk about customs! The worst is South Africa, about a month, followed closely by France, about 3 weeks. A medium flat rate Priority Mail box ships just about anywhere internationally for $63.xx + insurance. I will not ship to Indonesia or Singapore unless I can verify the address and credit card.

As Andychain points out there is a good economy of scale with large orders and they usually get to the states from Europe or the Pacific Rim in about 3 days; 12 to 20Kg for about $100 USD.

Bill.

Times must be changing.

Four years ago it was always a reliable 5- 8 days UK to NZ Royal Mail / NZ Mail courier.

If the customs payment is less than $50 it went straight through. More than $50 customs sent a postcard. If you rang them with a CC number the day you got the postcard before about 3 pm it was released that day and delivered the next morning - usually at about 5:30 am !!

Anything expensive track and trace is great. If you follow the parcel you see it sits 2 to 4 days a centre outside London, then two days on the plane, about a day and half in NZ customs until they get your clearance and then overnight delivery.

Out of the US to NZ is something different (Fedex, DHL etc). Five times the price - 5 times as long !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fact! You guys need Royal Mail !!! Seems to sit for weeks in LA.
