Hello to you all, I am new to this forum and I was wondering if any of you could help me locate an item please. I am looking for a smooth points cover for a Norton Commando in very good condition.

Regards,
Ian.

Hello Ian,
You should be able to get one from any good Norton parts supplier.
Unfortunately you do not say where you live so that makes recommending a local supplier rather difficult!

So if you are in the UK?

Then try
Norvil: http://www.norvilmotorcycle.co.uk/

or RGM: http://www.rgmmotors.co.uk/

BSA Regal (Andover Norton): [Broken Link Removed]

or Mick Hemmings (no website) phone: 01604 638505

Cheers mate. I live near Swansea, South Wales. I will contact the contacts you have given me ASAP.

Ian.

It might be pointing out the obvious but the standard points cover doesn't fit over a Lucas RITA pick up which means either turning up a spacer or else using their rather insubstantial spun cover if you've got one of those fitted.

I am sorry but I really dont know what you are on about. If you supply me with your E:mail address I can send you a photo showing why I am after one of these covers.

Ian.

TwoBellies, if you have std points or boyer ignition then the std cover will fit, if you lucas rita ignition then you need a cover that has more clearance as the rita needs more room. Its very doubtful you have lucas rita ignition.

Right, I see what you guys are on about now. This does not apply to me as I do not have any points at all. My timing cover is not on a bike, but is mounted on a plaque as a wall decoration. Thanks for your input anyway.

Ian.
