Plug thread timesert came out twice!

A little dab of thread anti-seize compound on each plug goes a L-O-N-G way...

Except that when you use them on a Norton they come very close or even into the valve seat bore. I have worked on several heads where the valve seat came out after a crack developed between a thick walled plug insert and the valve seat bore. Jim

I stand corrected Jim. I didn't realize it came that close to the valve seat. I have used these several times but have not had to do my norton. I will watch out if I ever need to. For now will use antiseize every time.

Cheers boys, very funny Nigel, I was in the cub scouts cliff.

I don't want to put too much punch for the bottom end, it did have power max Pistons in it when purchased but she was burning a bit o' oil , hence the auld blue moniker. I've just watched jims video and I'm gutted, I've not even stripped the rockers or removed the barrels.
