Just been doing some "routine maintenance" and thought I'd share...
(BTW have you noticed that "routine maintenance" is a lot more routine on our bikes than the Jap equivalents? Not a bad thing - just saying)
Anyway, the share is that I have found a great lube for pivots (approx. 90 degrees) such as side stand, centre stand, kickstart (in my case RGM long) is chain lube. I use Motul C4 - it goes on easily, volatiles dry off, then a quick rub with degreaser gives a clean, well lubricated pivot.
I know, I know... it's sad the things we get off on these days isn't it?

Long ago I used chain lube on my rear chain adjuster bolts. The lube hardened and was like Loctite. I actually snapped one of the adjuster bolts and had to drill it out and run a tap through the swingarm bosses. Don't remember the brand, this was 40 years ago.

MOLY chain lube. Been doing it for decades. Clutch/brake pivots too. For us lazy/too busy guys that have more to do on a Saturday than dismantle our clutch perch. ;)
