PISTONS and RINGS TEIKOKU (JAPAN)

I have to install my GPM pistons that were purchased though Andover soon. They use the wire circlip's with bent tangs in round grooves.
I am going to try and use plain wire C circlips. (will chamfer end of piston pin and notch piston wall for clip removal). I found a few circlips for pistons with pins of similar dia but the wire cross section was too thin at 0.049".

DIN 7993 RB 18. Dimensions are 1.6mm (0.063") cross section. Outside diameter 19.8mm, gap 8mm, specs are to fit bore of 18mm.
Norton pin dia of 17.447mm and GPM piston circlip groove width of 1.75mm (0.068") and depth of 1.4mm (0.055") should all check out for this modification. End result will be a modern circlip and pin arrangment as favoured by most performance applications. The only issue is that the groove is deeper than i would like, leaving 0.2mm proud for the pin chamfer to push against.

Circlips in Australia are hard to get. I found KTM part number 83033090000 is called RB18 so am taking a chance on these, I have ordered from europe and will have to wait 5 weeks. I will repost here when everything is done for any interested.

Below is the specs. min order is 52 euros for 1000. yikes
