@Jerry Doe @L.A.B. feel free to move this post wherever you would like.

Do not use Photobucket for photo hosting. I think we all learned our lesson there. Shoot, I got burned by Flickr too.

I use Imgur, it's 100% and will never go away (as soon as I say that it'll get bought by Google and turned off...). It's hosts about a trillion cat memes for the internet. And we know aside from porn the only photos that matter on the internet are cat pictures.

For me I just post, go to my post and (on a Mac or iOS) click on the image I want and "copy image address". Then come back to the forum and click the picture icon and paste. It's that easy.

1. Sign up for Imgur account. https://imgur.com
2. Click New Post.

3. Click Choose Photo/Video (or drag from your computer).

4. Select Image(s). You can choose as many as you like. There may be a limit but I don't know what it is.

5. You must name your post. It has to be unique to your other posts or it will delete the previous post. Then click Post to Community. *Update: Click Hidden, so it doesn't show up in the public feed but still works just fine.

6. Select the image in your new posting. On the Mac I right/control click. This allows me to get the actual address of the image I want to link to. On iOS you just click in the image you want in your Imgur app and click the share icon at the bottom. Then select Copy Link.

7. Now back to AccessNorton and the post you are creating. Click the Insert Image icon (between the Link icon and the Smilies icon in the bar), paste the Image Address and then click Insert. That's it.

Thanks Dave, that's pretty much the same process as posting from Google Drive.

I use Flickr, but I pay for the pro version. I may migrate to Imjur if Flickr ups their price again.
I also have my own web site with GoDaddy, but adding photos means putting them on an html file which is quite a bit of work.

Not being funny, but you are one of the most frequent visitors to the Access Norton page, why not put your hand in your pocket and shell out a few bucks for VIP membership?

You can post pics which will be accessible forever rather than going to old posts where the image host has gone or changed something that stops it from working.
It also helps @Jerry Doe out with the cost of hosting this awesome resource.

I’m not having a dig, but your post kinda feels like a tutorial on how to avoid having to pay Jerry any money.

Just my opinion.

As a member of numerous forums it's more efficient to host my images in a central location. Other members may be in a similar situation.

By posting frequently I increase the ad revenue by driving viewers here. Since you may not know ads pay per view so the more people who come here, the more ad money is generated. (Jerry is going to come along shortly and tell me how much money I'm actually costing him... )

If you only frequent this one forum then I highly encourage you to use the membership to host your images.

As I say, not looking for a fight, it’s just how I felt as I read your post. No offence intended.

V.I.P. subscription - I look at it this way. @ $3.25 p.c.m. while not cheap for a forum membership It's cheaper than a magazine and it's way more relevant and interesting. I binned my MCN and N.O.C. subscriptions in preference to Access Norton as I get much more out of it and like to think I'm adding something too. (others may disagree on that part  )

As to why I don't host on the forum is because I post pictures in other places and want to keep one place for all my photos. If this is the only place you post photos (which for some of you is the case) then the VIP account is the best method.
