Hello all,

A question for those in the know.

I have purchased a dual coil from Pazon to go with my Pazon ignition. It is this coil: http://www.pazon.com/ignition-system/ignition-coil-12volt-dual.html

I replaced my existing coils (standard). Now the Pazon has the normal white 12 VDC input and I have good 12 V. Then it has red and black that go to positive and negative sides of the primary on the new dual coil. I have wired like that. Now no spark. No ground.

I am concerned I have not grounded it to chassis (+). Here is my question:

Should the red (+) from Pazon box that goes to coil primary also be grounded to chassis or (+)? I am thinking not -It has 12 VDC on it now- The red at coil terminal.

Thanks for the help-- Jerry[/b]

You would normally wire a dual coil as you would do with two singles otherwise neither the coil or the box would have a ground connection.

So, according to the Pazon positive earth/ground wiring diagram, there should also be a (Red) wire connection between the coil (+) and earth/ground, just the same as if you were dealing with two separate coils in series.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply!! Back into the garage to finish up-- cheers Jerry
