Began tearing down today.Found this switch/sensor thingy on rear of footpeg hanger.Cant find it on Andover images.Any ideas please guys?

The hanger is a good heat sink for the zener diode

It would not hurt to remove and buff the contact area. But it is ever so easy to strip those threads both coming and going.
Maybe leave it be!
