P11 Side Stands

Ron and p400,
Are legs of your stands solid or hollow? I believe most reproductions are solid. I got mine fron Norvil and it's too heavy in my opinion.

What does your Norvil side stand weigh?

The prop stand legs are solid cast steel with the foot being a separate casting with a hollow in the center. The foot is welded or brazed to the leg. Many of the reproductions have the leg and foot cast as one solid part.

p400,

Norvil p/n 067719A and pictured at their site. It's probably the 6.2" version. Sorry, I can't tell you the weight as the stand is buried somewhere in my stash.

It looks like Andover has just released a new Featherbed/P11A sidestand.
Anyone try it yet?

Looks too short, and if it is related to featherbed, not good.
The construction of a non tapering leg shaft looks good.

I just noticed the part number 18750 is for a 650SS, again, not good for P11.

I haven't tried it. AN tells me the length is approx. 195mm from flat foot to pivot hole. After some creative photographic assesments I derived at an equivalent length of the orinal stand: (A) + footing = 6.5" + 41 mm = 206 mm.
Thus, this stand is definately too short for a P11/P11A. The footing also seems unsuitable for parking outside the tarmac. P11A Ranger and P11 Ranger didn't have this kind of footing, did they?
