Overall Length of a Mk 3 Commando

I'm about to ship my Mk 3 Commando cross-country and am remote from my bike. Can anyone verify the the posted overall length of 87.5 inches is indeed the absolute length from the forward extreme of the front tire to the rear extreme of the taillight assembly? It's going in a tight box. Thanks in advance.

I make it nearer 88".

I'm making 88.5 with new(ish) Roadrunners. But that's on the centre stand, suspension compression may lose that inch, perhaps??

I guess you could turn your handlebars to shorten it up a bit.

Its normal pratice of manufactures to remove the front wheel, mudguard when shipping a new bike to save room. Clamping the front spindle into a wooden A frame to hold the bike upright on pallet. Some manufacturers ha e a simple grove for the back wheel on pallet.
