this post is directed more to any new Norton owner. most of the forum members are already aware of what i am about to say, but many newbies may not be. without going into a lot of detail, i had a recent experience with Old Britts that almost makes a cynical, grumpy old vet like me think there is hope yet for the human race. in a nutshell, Fred and Ella are great people, and their service is second to none. they deserve our support

I have nothing but praise and a deep respect for Fred and Ella and their business. I've purchased a lot of parts from them this year and every order was 100% correct and shipped quickly and packed properly. Also their shipping charges are actual and not inflated. In addition, their Tech Articles are extremely helpful and usually have good photos for dummies like me!

Too bad other Norton suppliers aren't up to the level of Old Britts....

I will continue to buy from and support them!

Same here, just received another order this week. Once again great service, 100% correct and fast delivery. I have been ordering from them for years, and will continue to do so. I will also reccomend them as much as I can.

Totally concur. I've purchased nearly everything Commando-related from OB for years. A while back I got a new set of piston rings that would not gap to spec (Gaps too wide - yes, proper size rings for bore). Fred offered to go through several sets of new rings and put together a matching set that would meet the specs. You can't beat that kind of service.

They are the best vendor I have dealt with and my experiences ordering A LOT of stuff from them over the years has been 100% positive. I think many of us have gotten so used to crappy customer service or no customer service that when we run across people like Ella and Fred who run a tight ship, it is like some kind of revelation. Pretty sad commentary on the business community and maybe society in general. I have been trying to get an electrician to do a relatively small job at my house and he doesn't have the decency to even call me back after 4 left messages. Many of the tradespeople I have employed over the last few years have been the same.

I bought parts for a Brit-bike shop for quite a while (so I have bought many thousands of dollars of parts) and the service/parts from OB's are great! and they know what they are talking about, for Commando parts OB's is ALWAYS my first-call.

+1, all of the above. Ella caught my transposed part number foul up when I couldn't read my own writing  , calmly edited my order with me 8) and got it drop shipped to the hotel located 4 states away where I'd be when the stuff arrived. :D Like a proper MASTER at the craft, made it look easy. Great stuff!

I just orderered a part mid-day on Thursday and put a note on the order asking if it could be put in the mail that day (They are closed on Friday). The part arrived today. That is less than 2 full days later. Awesome service. Always happy with their service.

That is a really lovely web site - I like the look of that ignition system.

When I purchased the PowerArc ignition from them, I had a problem getting the encoder wheel to run true due to damage to the surface at the points end of the camshaft. Fred made an adapter that engaged the taper rather than the face of the shaft and sent it out no charge. They are the FIRST place I go to for any Commando parts.

I also have had nothing but the best of service from OldBritts and on a number of occasions they went way beyond good service to meet my special needs.
They also have such a good site for locating and ordering parts, plus the technical articles created by Fred.
The day they retire we will be in a heap of trouble.

Certainly a great service and their web site is so easy to order from. I recently received a large number of assorted nuts and bolts, they arrived in separate bags with parts numbers on each one. Makes it so much easier to remember what I'd ordered and where it goes...

+++++!! they are the best in all ways & I think they should be paid for all the time they put into the web site tech help. I've never met them in person but they are so nice, remember who I am and I feel like they are personal friends!

Old Britts is awesome. Every time I have called I have had a good experience. I have noticed that when my wife calls they help too! I just got back from another out of country job and she was able to (with the help of Ella) get me a really nice tail piece for the bike!!

Awesome!!!
