(BTW, this is a Mk3 illustration - same as my august build Mk2) this is one of those WTF -- is the illustration wrong? it shows the spacer (part number 16) on the inside of the disc. is that correct? i'm drawing a blank here - seems to me, when I took things apart, it was on the outside. guess I forgot to engage my brain on this one. almost positive, that my rotor was flush against the hub, and the spacer on the outside, but now i'm thinking that would defeat the purpose of the spacer/dust cover. ??? besides, it doesn't look like it can be assembled as shown. an I missing something?

Parts diagrams can't always be relied upon to illustrate the correct order of assembly.

In this instance, as others have said, the disc has to be fitted before the spacer.

where did you get your training? Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, here. my neighbor graduated from Embry Riddle.
ISU (Pocatello, Idaho). Back in '78. I like to be able to pay my bills, so I followed a different career path...

same here - after 7 years as a (J-79) engine mechanic, when back to the University of Dayton for an engineering degree. ended up designing aircraft maintenance trainers and flight simulators. neighbor retired as an FAA flight safety inspector. ;)
