I am aware of the Dave Comeau, and others, clutch rod oil seal; a good idea as it prevents (retards?) gear lube from gettiing to the clutch basket.

BUT

What about oil entering the primary from the the drive side of the sleeve gear? Can that be avoided by using a shielded bearing in the clutch basket? I would think that oil would favor the sleeve gear exit over the clutch rod exit given all the action in the main gear case. I was thinking about seating the outer bushing in the sleeve gear down about 1/4" then having a groove machined in the ID of the sleeve gear so that an "O" ring could be fitted.

Any thoughts?

It's kind of a problem keeping enough lube on those bushings. So the last thing you would want to do is to create a dead head. I may consider a slinger washer before that. But it's just a little wet sump and a kick over on cold oil and engine oil will come in. On Triumph's we often run a bead of silicone on the front sprocket core before tighten up to prevent migration.

The drive side of the sleeve gear has an oil seal and a spacer in it. If it leaks, it should be replaced. Any oil that comes out of the outer part of the sleeve gear would end up on the sprocket and end up on the final chain or chain guard or most likely on the rear wheel (I used to have a lot of that and that is why my rear wheel is not all rusty). I don't think any of that oil would end up in the primary drive. There could be some gearbox oil coming out of the sleeve gear bushings getting into the clutch basket, I don't know how to solve that unless you replace the bushings on the sleeve gear to reduce the oil migration, if the bushings are worn.
